I was in a total of 2 accidents during my driving career.... They were both in a PARKING LOT.

Exhibit A) McDonalds parking lot: A guy hit me while he was messing around with his girlfriends stuff in the back seat. YES, he was looking back with no hands on the wheel because his girlfriend wanted something.

    Exhibit B) I backed into a car.

One example of why women can be a problem to drivers, and one example of stupid teen driving. Why don't we just say that everyone sucks at driving aside from professional racers and stunt drivers?

I've also had really close calls on the street though, all with women drivers too.

Close call 1) I was driving down the right lane of a 2 lane road (2 lanes each way). There was a lady pulling out of a parking lot who was trying to turn right in the direction I was going. I didn't think much of it but she pulls out right when I reach the drive way and decides to turn into the left lane too. Because of that decision, she drives me into opposite traffic because I'm trying to avoid being t-boned across the street. If she had hit me, she would have put me into the middle of both inside lanes blocking traffc. And if there was traffic there, I may have gotten seriously injured.

Close call 2) I was driving home on residential roads and I pull up to a stop sign. I start to turn right after my stop. (It wasn't a full stop I'll admit it, but I checked both ways and was sure it was safe to turn.) There was a woman driver wanting to turn left. Obviously there should be room for cars from perpendicular lanes to turn into different lanes. It's not like she was trying to get into the same lane as me, she was only trying to turn onto the street I was one. I started to turn since I was sure she wasn't going to swerve into my lane or anything when she SWERVES INTO MY LANE. Actually, she turned into the middle of the street and blocked traffic. She had to back up and realign herself to drive down the right side of the street.

I'll admit i drive crazy, but at all times, I HAVE CONTROL over the car. Unlike when my ex pulled out in front of a very fast moving truck, and just threw her hands up and floored it. Hell, if i hadn't have been there, she'd be dead...not a bad thing, just duly noting it.

            115 on a 45. Thats how bad.

Only wreck I have ever been in involving a human... was when a girl rear ended my old 87 Dodge Dakota. I had just put a big trailer hitch on it to go pick up my granddad's boat. The girl slammed her brand new Honda Civic into the trailer hitch. It went right through her radiator and only bent my bumper down a bit. Hooray for trucks!

                      Thats pretty much it

Also it's been proven that girls have a multi track mind and guy's have a one track mind.

Think about how many close calls or accidents you've ever had that a girl was on the phone or doing her makeup or some other BS. They are trying to multi task while driving witch is a VERY VERY bad thing to do.

Also the invention of the portable phone did NOT help at all.

So, once again, let me get this straight. Men can't multi-task, so... that makes women bad drivers?

I've been in an accident once. I had just gotten my permit (so my dad was in the car), and I was dead stopped at a stop light, and some (male) jerk in a Ford F150 rear-ended me.

I started driving at 15 1/2, and I'm almost 19 now. That isn't very long, but in my experience, I'm more worried about teenage males than females of any age.

Where in my post did I say multi-task?

I think it CLEARLY says multi-track mind with is a totaly diffrent thing but at the same time they are related.

I don't feel like typing what happens, I'll do it later.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration keeps statistics on all vehicle crashes in the US. After reviewing their stats there is some fairly telling information. I invite you all to review their data and then tell me which sex has the better safety record.

                                Here be the stats

In almost every statistic measured males consistently and by a large margin had a larger accident, injury, and fatality rate than females. It's not the whole story by any stretch, but it kinda takes a lot of the wind out of the argument that women are such poor drivers.

Personally I take the George Carlin approach... the single universal truth that binds us all together is that we all think we drive better than everyone else. The person in front of us driving slow is an a-hole and the person that passes us is an idiot. Extra points if that person differs from us at all.. sex, color, type of car, religion or political affiliation, etc.
