The spacer was only used in the Emag. One of the originally unique things about the micromag was its incorporation of the body and the rail into one unit.

We've requested before that we keep this thread positive and I don't think that was the intention of your "suggestions".
This "spec" bug you've got up an orifice is totally misplaced. If PTP didn't make parts to spec, then why:
was PTP the only authorized licensee of aftermarket parts for the mag?
did at least one design innovation developed at PTP get incorporated into the production mag?
was PTP asked to provide design and development assistance on numerous projects including the warpfeed?
were warranties essentially interchangeable between the two companies?
Micromags were made and manufactured to spec - period. No need for further discussion.VENGEANCE PAINTBALL DISTRIBUTORS

I know. I have owned 3 MicroEmags, and many bodies that I wanted to become MicroEmags, but couldnt find spacers to make them work. Tuning one without one is very very difficult. I would like to purchase one of these, but will be putting it on emag lowers. I would really prefer to not need the spacer.Originally posted by rabidchihauhauThe spacer was only used in the Emag. Traci - no I do not know you guys personally. I have owned and teched MANY PTP products over the years.
I do not wish to get into a long argument with you people so I will make my point brief. If ProTeam Products is indeed going to be producing a new generation of Micromag bodies, then I can only hope that you and your company will look back through this forum and take note of the many legitimate critiques of your previous offerings.
The few people who are left around here are still the "What's Good" in paintball and deserve nothing short of the BEST.
edit - And yes, I am hoping to own a new Micro body.Comment

I dont know specifically BigEvil's "problem",... but I am going to venture a couple guesses and get close to the "real issue".
The first being the "pneumatic trigger". Which is a REAL bad thing around here as far as the name Pro-Team Products goes.
My opinion, because I own many of them, is the micro mag bodies themselves.
With that I mean the issue with the spacer plate between the emag lowers and the body (we shouldnt need it if it was "to-spec") So converting a micromag body to allow for emag lowers is damn near impossible.
Another issue is the on/off pin. While the length is not the issue,... ordering them is.
Personally, I've had to cut my own since I have not ever received them from PTP.
The "ball detent" that is on the Micro Mag body is not something I care to try and replace. Ive found the item impossible to buy. Ive had to remove the old one, drill and tap for a standard ball detent. It works, but its ugly as all hell and I probley will never be able to sell the body because if the nasty gap that is there.
The other is an outdated issue, but still with the bodies. The older "Autoresponse" trigger frame had issues as well. Ive owned MANY PTP bodies in my time,... 7 of them never worked on these frames I had. (Ive had 3 AR frames)
The bodies that you speak of we all have seen floating around here on the AO as well as ebay. I can point a few people out that sold some,.. but I think you may not be informed as the condition they were advertised. And that was "Not PTP Micro Mag Bodies - Clone" or "Cloned AGD Bodies w/ Power Feed!!!" Most of us on here can look at the bodies and tell in about 3 seconds that they are not the originals design set out by PTP.
I think what BE was saying in some way was kinda what we all think in the back of our minds should happen with a product that will be engineered for the Automag. The product must work. It must be to AGD spec and no one elses. It must not contain parts that are difficult to come by if needed replacement (ie: making some new thread for barrels, feed necks, ball detents, etc.), keep with the industry standard on the common items such as these (ie: angel feed neck threads, shocker feed neck threads, cocker barrel threads, etc). It must be supported end-to-end by someone that is going to stock the parts and keep the product going.
I dont want to commit to a "PTP Bashing" in here,... these are my suggestions to making a new body so that it is 100% what we, the players, want.

Also with the spacer issue you have to realize that it is a relatively small portion of the market that wants to convert to micro e mags. In any case perhaps a more positive vibe and request for a better supply of spacers to convert the old bodies (and compatability in the new ones like you already have been saying) may get us farther.
My experience with both AO and PTP is that both the company and the community want to see things done right. Sometimes though what we want is not possible or cost effective.
Back to the design. I love the look of/ functionality (should I ever need it) of dual detents.Comment

Oh come on. You know we will drool over whatever PTP comes out with, as long as it has that PTP look to it.Originally posted by Dend78im really diggin the idea of just leaving it blank so you can have whatever you want engraved on it

very true but at the same time a personalized micro that says DEND78 with punisher skulls on either side of the text would be super sexy
