I love Dend's. I like the way it has a hood that wraps back around the top of the valve area. The 3D milling of it might add a lot to the cost though.
And although I think it looks really good, I wan't something a little more in the flavor of the PTP boxy look, not a Dallara copy (even though it looks really good). Plus, keeping it close to the original design might help costs down since they already have the CAD for that body more than lilkely.
Just my $0.02.Comment

Can some Photoshop wiz take the texture of this scaling and apply it to the shape of the 1st gen raw body?

My ideas
The body needs to also address the needs of the woodsball crowd:
1) Sight rail is a most. Better yet if it comes with a weaver or picatinny.
2) RH feed....not top feed which blocks the use of a red dot sight.
BTW, I could have bought an AGD Tac-One body by now, but they only offer the top feeder or a side feeder for the warpfeed. I think that is a tactical/marketing error.Comment

I'm going to vote no rail on body. I want a clean look, not jagged.
And for higher rates of fire, I'll vote center feed.Comment

When this idea and interest was generated, it was for CF bodies, so unless a low-cost "x-mag" esque modular breach is designed, CF it should probably be. I don't see how a low-cost modular breach could be had. A lot more machining involved. Would be cool though, if it looked clean.
Maybe have the barrel lock it in place or something?
edit: Because if this could be CF/LF/RF/Warp, I might just crap my pants.Comment

I know how cool the different breeches would be. But it adds soooo much more meat. I can't stress how much heavier my xmag body is than my ULE.Comment

if ptp rereleases some stuff gun wise id have to get one im thinking ule of course light as possible and the vert verse everything else is my favorite idea ...im glad im talking to one of there guys about reselling the old benchy frames they have about 200 flat black left better scoop them single trigger ones up if you want em....... they make nice frames for the longbow

Isnt the reason no one has made any more Xmag bodies because they are patented ?
Uh oh. Did I say the nasty word ?

Oooh, what about triple feed ports? 2 can just contain detentes, and one for feed port? That shouldn't add too much weight.Originally posted by Papa_SmurfI know how cool the different breeches would be. But it adds soooo much more meat. I can't stress how much heavier my xmag body is than my ULE.
Would have to be index threaded for detente positioning, but would allow a lot of options, CF, WR, WL, as well as dual detentes. And since only CF would need the strength to support a hopper, the top would be the only part that needed the most meat.
Thoughts?Comment

Have you looked at an xmag? It's far from what I thought It would be. It's hard to grasp without having done so.
going_home: I looked for a patent, I don't find one for that. I found them for the classic and other things, including a "Coupon inserting apparatus and method"Comment

This wouldn't be a totally removable breach, but merely 3 threaded feed ports. The detente ports would just be threaded discs with a detente in them, located a bit off center.Originally posted by Papa_SmurfHave you looked at an xmag? It's far from what I thought It would be. It might work well with the "boxy" 1st and 2nd gen designs of the Micromag.Comment
