X is the amount of time that must elapse between firing cycles. This requires the software to always keep track of the elapsed time. As long as X amount of time has elapsed since the last trigger cycle started it starts another cycle. If not, it waits until that amount of time has elapsed since the start of the last firing cycle and starts another one. Does that make sense?
