Just discovered this and I'm thinking about doing this.

What is your advice on choosing to do this or IONizing my mag? Which one is less troublesome? Which one will cause less problems? Which one is cheaper?

Has anyone posted a picture of how they mounted the SMAV-3?

I don't have the fabco part and was hoping some one had an example of how they mounted theirs..

Anyone wanna order stuff from clippard with me? Shipping is a ***** ($16.00) and really not worth it to me.

This is just a side project for me... but it can be done with Chimera and Logic Frame only... correct?

Humphrey also makes miniature multi mount cylinder actuators similar to the ones by Mead in perfect bore and stroke sizes.. They also have through holes for easy mounting, and a few are even guided. The plates on the front of the guided single acting cylinders could be used as the piston to strike the sear.. im looking into cost and whatnot..

Just a heads up to anyone looking for Clippard parts. Have Blue has a nice selection of stuff on his sight. Better than paying $20 just for handling with Clippard

You may have to search for the individual items but you will find all the Clippard parts and Fabco parts that were listed in this project. I know that I did. Hopfully my order will arrive before I chew my finger nails down to the first knucle.

A little off topic, but somone else might be in the same boat as me. Anytime I try to access airsoldier.com the page will not load for me, I have to tell it to load on port 8080 and have to use this address: http://www.airsoldier.com:8080/cgi-b.../merchant.mvc+

I am not sure what the deal is, but if anyone else has problems loading their site, try adding the :8080 behind .com.

I'm thinking about trying this mod out very soon, but I have a feq questions:

So does the QEV do anything in this mod or not? If it actually is useful I'd be willing to mill my Chimera frame but I'd prefer not to.

Is there a way to do this without destroying my trigger guard on my chimera?

Would this work with a classic valve?

I still have a hard time understanding how this shortens the pull. Is the sear removed? how does it trigger it?

                        How to

Are there any links that are still active on the how to for a Pnuematic trigger? I would like to give the project a try but am still kinda in the dark on the specifics.

Hi all, does anyone have the exact part number for the following cos there are quite a few slight variations of the clippard parts designations. 11755-2 ???, 11750-2 ??? and 11752-5 ???, and to anyone in the UK where the hell can i get rivnuts from?? most of the parts are on the way just those four things i need now.

                            all you need...
                            Clippard MPA-3
                            Clippard MEV-2 (optional)
                            Fabco MSV-1, Fabco MSV-2. or Clippard SMAV-3
                            11752-5 (barb fittings)
                            1/16 ID hose

order a "MPA-3 Piston" from Luke here on AO for $3 US. better than a riv nut. Just use a dremmel to trim to length.

I can hook you up with any parts you need...or make the whole frame for you.

I've got most of the parts on order, it's just that when i looked at the clippard catalogue for the barbs (11572-5, 11750-2 and 11755-2, there seemed to be 3 letters after each set of numbers, i guess some indicated a brass fitting or some other metal type. Also, there weren't too many pictures of the fittings so i could compare them to see if they were of different types and sizes. luckily the sole Clippard distributer in the UK is only a half hour drive from me so i'm able to pick em up easily enough. All ineed to know the correct last three letters after the numbers ie...11752-5-PKG for instance, so i can start to build this bad boy! Thanks for the offer to make a frame for me, i may take you up on the offer if i make a proper cock up it!!! Actually i have a question for you, i'm gonna use my intelliframe to build a prototype first before i move onto a Chimera frame. What's the best way to dril/machine a hole in the frame to accomodate the nail (Phishmag stylee) so it strikes the Fabco MSV-2? 'Cos there isn't a whole lot of room to get a drill in there.

yeah, the clippard website leaves some to be desired.

blk stands for bulk, pkg. means package, usually five or ten pieces
                                NP stand for nickel plated.

the best thing to do is request a catalog, or download the whole catalog pdf file so you know what you are looking at.
