Anyone consider using a cartridge valve?

Once final placement of the cartridge valve and cartridge cylinder were determined, a trigger frame could be made with the cavities required for each and the connecting airlines internal to the frame. :)

The "ultimate" advancement? With the internal cavity measurements of the LP reg, you could perhaps drill/machine a trigger frame that would serve as amanifold for the regulator, valve, and cylnder. All pats internal, no hoses or connectors.

Okay finally got mine up and running...sort of. I have to use the ult b/c I don't have an rt on/off yet. There is some short stroking. But occasionally the bolt I used in my plunger gets in a bind or something and locks up the system. Actually it's not venting and the gun doesn't provide the reactivity to kick it back. What's causing this? Why wouldn't it vent and cycle right. Most of the time my trigger stays back and when I pull it forward the 3-way resets as does the ram. Then it's all gravy.
Shocker=spyder that shoots out it's butt

if the trigger is staying back, thats not what you want....the trigger needs to come full forward for the SMAV3 and MPA3 to reset.....the SMAV3 should push the trigger forward, if not, then the SMAV3 doesn't have enough force to push the trigger forward, try using some opposing magnets to assists in moving the trigger forward

the guns reactivity should NOT help reset the MPA3 in anyway....the internal spring for the MPA3 is plenty sufficient to reset the piston as long as the SMAV3 is venting the pressure.....good luck.....

Use a higher operating pressure for your 3-way, I half stroke mine every time I get it walking really fast. I think it is my tanks regulator not keeping up with my gun. So a flatline or dynaflow reg might be a must. I just have a 5-year-old crossfire tank.

Not sure if its been posted but heres a crappy pic of the inside of SMAV3

I pulled the spring out and tested it but I had a continuous leak out the N.O. port.
Put the spring back in and the leak stopped.

Heres a pic of the test setup, i was testing a couple different rams.

make sure you limit the sear travel by putting a stop behind the sear, allow the sear just enough travel to fire the gun and then set the stop......and yes, make sure your tank can keep up

                  Looks really great guys.

What are the two rams in the pictures Big'n Slo? Part numbers please.

How about this idea for pneumatics:

Would it be possible to create a pneumatic circuit to make a pump mag?

Instead of resetting the bolt, the pump peneumatic circuit could react by not allowing the ram to be repressurised until the pump is activated...

Or, a check valve that keeps the ram from depresurising through the input from the trigger and requires another valve to activated by the pump. (that has the promise of being able to be made into an auto-trigger pump....

Too bad I have no clue how to draw this up in an animation. ANybody know of some good computer aided pneumatic design programs?

I also have an MPA3 to play with.

I doubt the stainless ram will work but I had to at least play with it a little

Did you guys call Parker to order the MSV-1's or is there an online order someplace?

Hey Big, the MSV-1's are Fabco Air products ( http://www.fabco-air.com ) And I got mine through a Fabco Dealer a hour away. I have 1 MSV-1 and two MSV-2's (they have a lever kinda like a micro switch) If you want one, its yours!

Parker has mini 3 ways but they're not rated as close as clippards or fabco's but they DO have verrrrrrry tiny catridge cylinders like the one I got

                      AGD Did someone call me?

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

try running just the trigger frame and not the gun and see if you get the same problem

                              Happy Happy

I just got back from the field and the gun worked flawlessly. No shootdown. Only short-stroked like 2 or 3 times. The thing purely rips. Honestly I thought I'd go up there and it be a big screw-up. Partly b/c last night I tightened up the set screws to get the grips on and one of them fell off causing the ram to fall. I didn't have any air to test once it was back in either. So I was just hoping for the best. And I got that and so much more. Thanks so much for all your help guys, this thing is so frikin sweet
