Phish, how far does the ram have to move to actuate it? Would a QEV's Nexus ram work? I can get one for cheap, that's why I ask. I could trim down the pump arm and make it pneumatic return, besucally using all autococker parts... I see no disadvantage. This would be cheaper for me becausse I play alot with cocker people, and they can almost give me the parts.

i THINK the ram moves about 1/8", i could be wrong though. I have a set screw behind the sear to act as a stop, thus limiting the travel of the sear and increasing cycle speed. How far does the sear have to move you might ask? Easy, screw the "set screw" all the way in so that it pushes the sear all the way forward, then start cycling the trigger (you'll notice the gun won't fire). slowly back the set screw off while cycling the trigger. pretty soon the gun will fire, thus back off the set screw just a TTTIIIINNNYYYY bit more so that the gun will fire POSITIVELY. then you done.
As for the Nexus ram, i don't even know what that looks like. sorry. ... But do what you want. If it's cheaper that way, thats kool, you won't hurt my feelings. just remember, YOU AND YOU ALONE, ARE THE FINAL AUTHORITY when it comes to this mod. Information in this thread is just that, information. Use how much or little as you want. YOU ARE THE FINAL AUTHORITY.

Is it possible that this could end up being for sale? If there's a way to get around pro-team and getting sued.

                  ,

Nice job WASSUPSTRANGER. This valve looks promising. Keep up posted on your results.....

                  PATTYG:
i used the guage to determine the PSI the LPR was regulating at. If the the LPR sends out more than 100psi, you might ruin your SMAV-3 cuz it's only rate upto 100psi. So i used the gauge to set the LPR to my desiered PSI, THEN i connected the LPR to the trigger frame.

Keep in mind.....7 - 16oz actuation is at the push pin itself.....

Using the trigger as mechanical advantage.

Thats one light, short, fast trigger.

wouldn't it be very tempting to use the lever version as the trigger it's self?

also 16Oz is about the same a the ULT - so you will have to be running it @ a lower pressure (hopefully @ about 50psi) OR using some sort of mechanical advantage....

no because the trigger helps as a lever,

                          edit: o u siad that

better than the smav3 20oz anyway

Here's a calculation i did w/ reguards the SMAV-3 stem travel on my gun. Hypothenus = length of trigger....

The lever version is 2oz at 100psi and 1oz at 40psi!

But I think I hould fit the lever version in my frame it's ownly like

                              Maybe cut down the lever

Yes, the trigger would be light but have a long stroke.(Mechanical advantage) The valve with the "arm" on is the same as the one were discussing, but with the addition of the lever. Think of it this way......your trigger IS the lever if your using the stock valve..
