Hey E- If you've got those calculations online (about flow and whatnot) could you gimme a link? That would be awesome for some stuff I wanna do. Actually, an equation that would let me calculate a (rough) speed of actuation for some cylinders would be handy.

It may affect my application...Originally posted by phishphenIf you noticed that, you are on the right track to making this mod
Looking at EVERY detail in the pictures is a good thing to do.....a picture is worth a thousand words...
Yes ,i believe that is a am/mm sear and Yes it is longer/ "more meat below the clevis hole". Why it is longer, i do not know. This sear came wit the gun when i bought it off ebay. But the extra length doesn't effect this mod that much....
my sear is much shorter...it is cut off id say about 1/16" below the clevis hole
i may have to mount the actuator slightly higher so it fully contacts the sear leg
i hope this'll leave me enough room for the valve
another question:
I'm planning on using a vertical palmer stab. inline reg instead of a mircro rock(i already own one, it says it can reg anywhere from 0-800psi, it'll be even more stock looking)
in doing so...i came across 2 minor issues,
the first was getting air to both the stab and the valve;
solution: very simple, i'll just put a T fitting on the inlet port of the stab. and run that to my valve
the second issue....i need to go from the hole in my vert asa(1/4npt i believe) down to the 1/16id tubing. Not a terrible problem really, just a matter of finding the right combo of reducers and fittings...
so far, searching the clippard site, i havent quite found what im looking for...
any suggestions?Last edited by Jerhew; 02-27-2005, 04:53 PM.TheDuelist "The problem is that Tom has developed the VW Beetle of the paintball industry. It's almost too good to change and far too reliable."

Jerhew:
If you look at one of the Internal pics, you will see a little silver thing between the 2 black hoses, its by the actuator. that is a little piece of metal i dirlled a hole thru, Tapped both sides, gound the metal down as small as i could get it, then i put 2 barbs on it. One on each side. This acts as a "coupler" to bring 2 hoses together. in your case, think about a way to get a barb to attach to the macro-line, have it go thru some sort of manifold (be creative), and have another barb on the other side that will connect to the proper hose......hope you understand this.......good luck....

hey phish
Is there any way to get a pic looking down into your frame?I got my intelli drilled out today and am gonna mount both the actuator and 3 way tomorrow. All i need now are the fittings and I will get them tomorrow also.Last thing is the reg.I have a tac one so I plan on mounting it in a set of scope rings on the right side and run a small line to it.I'll take pics if it works. Thanks again,RichieTAC-ONE Camomag,Retro Valve w/LVL-10,milled RT-Pro rail,E-mag battery pack,KAPP stubby dropzone,CP on/off, 16" Stiffi and it's bewy, bewy qwiet

sorry to kinda side track, but you have to use an lpr for this right?
also, what would you use this for?

You would generally need a LPR that can handle input pressures of 800 PSI. Since the Automag has a built in regulator you don't have a secondary reg. The minimatics used for this mod require MUCH lower pressures than the mag, hence the need for a LPR, and since the most easiest way to do this is slap an LPR onto a On/Off then you'll need one that handles 800 psi or more. I'd go for the Palmer Micro Rock.

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.
You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

i can get a pic looking down into the frame sometime this week. i got a lot of stuff goin right now, but i'll do what i can.....let us now how your mod turns out....Originally posted by richieIs there any way to get a pic looking down into your frame?I got my intelli drilled out today and am gonna mount both the actuator and 3 way tomorrow. All i need now are the fittings and I will get them tomorrow also.Last thing is the reg.I have a tac one so I plan on mounting it in a set of scope rings on the right side and run a small line to it.I'll take pics if it works. Thanks again,Richie

DuckHunt:
thanks.........are you gonna do this mod? you seem to know all the pieces to it pretty well.....
Wassupstranger:
nice.......looks like it just drops in
.. i might suggest that you have the microline pointing down, not up like you have it cuz the rail will want to kink the line......

The mag reg reduces the pressure to like 400, right? Anyone wanna drill into their dump chamber and see if we can use some smaller regs that would fit completely inside the grips?

Sure if you want to drill a hole in your valve by all means do it...
Just stay away from mine!!! In my opinion it'd be worth it just buying the Mirco Rock and hooking it onto an On/off.
I don't know enough about regulators to recommend anything else, all I know is the micro rock has worked for people before and I know Palmer makes great stuff. Keep in mind that the MiniMatics used in this Mod require very little PSI, your tanks output is most likely 800 PSI, your mag needs as much pressure as possible.
You NEED an LPR for this.
phishphen- Thanks for making me feel smart! I'm working on aquiring the parts right now to perform this mod.
Sean
PS - ScatterPlot, you want to fit a LPR into a gripframe you're ALREADY trying to fit a 3 way and ram into?? TO me it just sounds like more of a headache you don't need

phishphen: Ya it did pretty much just drop in, except the elimination of the safety. I would point the macro down but either way I will have to machine the grip or the rail, and the rail is
Cheaper. So the rail it is, I also want to use a rouge 15 asa and put mico rock there. That way I can run the 1/16 macro into the rail, if I machine a grove.

Hey -E- you could grind all 4 cornners down at a 45 deg angle, but thats pretty much it. I think im going to pick up 1 more and try to take the spring out of it. Just in case i screw it up. The exssaust hole i think is closer to.045, and it also bleeds air around the stem.Last edited by Wassupstranger67; 02-28-2005, 12:44 PM.
