Nail on head! I'd like to have more selection. In the end any new barrel I buy will probably perform no better than the one I currently use but I want that opportunity to waste my money if I want!!!!Originally posted by j.t.
Something that will be slightly better looking but more importantly, WILL GIVE YOU MORE CHOICES then the stainless steel tube.
The aluminum body will give you a larger barrel selection (com on guys, how often do you see the vertical feed mag barrel you want at your local pro-shop?

i get you guy's point about the barrel selection. i don't know about you guys, but my steel tube works just fine for me. a nice and lite aluminum tube wouldn't be too bad, and i have to admit, i'll only have to buy barrels for one of my guns (my cocker). i also like having vert feed. the new bodies are fine, but to make them better, i would say go with the valve cover like on e-mag Extreme. The only thing i don't like, is the fact that its not only agd no more, its AGD/Angel/Cocker it would be smarter for agd to make there own products, meaning less money for angel/cocker, more money for AGD. just my 2 cents

i agree with all of you. If you tryed to mill a round body its going to look fugged up or be very expensive and antieconomical. They should make the bodys look like the steel ones but offer them in matte or glossy with different colors. And what would be really nice is if they make the valves different colors too! (vomits with excitment!) Cause the mag looks pretty as it is (except for the abbrupt stop between the barrel and body).Comment

ok heres MY OPINION on all of this. jts and shartleys designs dont look too good. i think a design like the one that "looks like an angel" looks MUCH better. yes expensive, but alot better. unless there is going to be an extension over the valve like an xtreme or that "angel" body to make it look nice, why even make a body with more meat??? when the slug gets milled it will look like somebody took the regular grey tube and hacked it up. thats why i think they should have the extension over the valve, cuz now it looks sloppy where the valve and body meet. with the extension you can make it flow and look nice just like that angel look or a CnC xtreme. so point is, i think they should leave enough metal to do something like that angel look, but you should have to make it. not AGD, then it wont cost much for AGD or take too much time to produce.Comment

my 2 cents
Here goes, hope you're up for a read. First off, I think a lot of us have been kidding ourselves. We're trying to come up with fantastic looking bodies... that are inexpensive. There's a reason that Fly Angels and Orracle Cockers cost a fortune more than their stock counterparts. You just can't make something like that cheap. I have to agree that Extreme bodies are the way to go, as far as the "Upgrade" body idea goes. Also, the millability (made that up) of the X bodies is obvious. I must concede that I have no idea what keeps current X bodies from being retrofitted to classics and RTs (I'm thinking sear), but aftermarket milled bodies are expensive, we just have to deal with that. I absolutely love the aluminum tubes, however, and I think that is definitely the way to go for ALL stock mags. A simple AL tube. Cheap, light, annodizeable. Again, though, I really think that X-style modular bodies (nixxing the body rail is key, to me) is the direction to head for aftermarket milling. People that want extremely complex milling are willing to pay for it. I really want to be behind this project 100%, but as is shown by the lack of feasible ideas, it just may not be the way to go. I'll hop off of my soapbox now. Lastly, I really want to thank Tom, and everyone at AGD, for listening to us at all, and giving us this forum where we actually input what will be made. We have a great power here, show me the WDP site where the CEO asks how to mill the ir3 FLY. I didn't think so. Thanks again, Tom, and I hope whatever you go with is successful. I'll be in line for my extreme body.Comment

I like the Slug. Being able to pick up a raw mag body that I can cut & colour to create a one of a marker for myself has great appeal. Though I would cut a chunk of billet aluminiun into a new rail and blend it into the body for a full custom look.Flying the unfriendly skies.Comment

I THINK THIS IS A GREAT STEP FOWARD. BY ACCEPTING COCKER BARRELS YOU'RE GOING TO GET MORE PEOPLE TO WANT TO BUY AUTOMAGS SO THEY CAN USE THEIR EXISTING BARRELS ON THEM. THE CENTER FEED ANGEL THREADS ARE GENIUS. I THINK THE MILLING SHOULD BE THE REGULAR MAG MILLING, MAYBE WITH SOME FLAMES MILLED IN LIKE THE BLACK MAGIC COCKER. ANYONE SEEN THE GOTHIC SPIKE BODIES FOR AUTOCOCKERS? I THINK THAT'D BE SWEET ON A MAG. GOOD WORK TOM!Comment

Hmm, how is this going to be compatible with both the square pem and round pem rails? Is there going to be an adapter? Also, would it be possible to have an adapter for the RT style valve, or would that be too tricky to make? There are three kinds of people in the world: Those who can count, and those who can't.

Powerfeed
What about those of us who love the power feed system.
I remember that the whole idea behind the powerfeed was to increase the rate of fire. There is an issue with blowback at high rates of fire when using a vertical feed.
The blowback will actually push the next ball up the feed tube and cause either chopping or a delay in the next shot if an ACE is in use. Sorry Tom but I love the power feed system.Comment

Timmee- the RT Pro and Emag bodies will fit in standard rails, but minimag and standard bodies will not fit in RTP and emag rails.
By using the emag and RTP peg system it works in all AGD markers (besides original RT)Comment
