actually I'll agree there, 98 threads are the best in my opinion, they are quickly and easily removed and have many barrel adapters already produced for them.

Autococker barrels are the easiest to find. :)

Also, I have always had trouble with the M98 threads. The only time I can get the barrel to stay tight I cant get it off again easily. Maybe its just me?

Regarding M98 threads, I think they are more expensive to make b/c most places charge extra for mag and m98 barrels. I think it has something to do with how wide the threads are, so they can't be tapped like normal (cocker, angel, spyder) threads. I'm guessing that is one of the major reasons why the m98 threads are not going to be the "standard" anytime soon.

i had a m-98 back in the day and i noticed that over time the bottom part of the threads would bend or break off over time, and i was pretty careful with my gun. i also noticed this on some of my friends 98's too but it wasn't that big of a deal, when i put a stainless steel barrel on it didn't bend or break anymore.

I got the chance to handle one at SCAO and it rocks!

It is the same weight as the RT PRO body, and hasn't even been milled...

Then the answer is probably no. LOL

And I don't know how anyone can say a chunk of unmilled aluminum "rocks". LOL It may be light, but so is a chunk of plastic.

NO, they did not cover the valve... but they did come out in the front like the minimag body... so the barrel is "up in the body"

                          they really are something....

Sounds cool. I still thought Tom was going to produce some that covered the valve. That's what I'd really like to see.
