Just added more pics to the picture gallery. Glad you all like them.
you guys have been over there so long and you still dont have tans? what are you doing in your free time? go outside and play!
All our tans were on our noses down to our necks and the backs of our hands. If we want to play outside, they make us wear our Body Armor. (No argument here) I'm waiting to catch one in the chest plate so I can get up and ask if it bounced!
but the lack of presents astound me, or is santa keeping them until the last night?
Don't know what the plans are there. I'm not always in the loop on these things. Most guys are getting there presents sent right to them. There has been the addition of a Santa doll that sing Merry Christmas to "Shout" :) We have an NCOIC (Non-commisioned Officer In Charge) of Christmas and he has threatened us with pain for eating the Candy Canes prior to the 25th

It amazes me how young everyone is in those pics that you posted Doobie
The average age in my platoon is about 22. Iam the "grizzeld ole sarge" at 33!
Thanks again for all the well wishes!

WARPED1: I saw that! That is awesome!

            ALright, Update:
            20 DEC 03
Well, we had an interesting week here. One section (Two gun trucks) of mine was sent to the City Hall to help quell a riot. One of our other platoons, The Hell Raisers, was already on the ground and calling for back-up on the Radio as we were rolling their way. They were reporting about 200 people getting out of hand. We made it to them in about 10 min due to some great "Bumper Car" style driving by SPC Impson in the lead vehicle. Hey, when one of our own calls for assistance, traffic laws go out the window! The taxis had to move the hard way, and when I checked last, 1 1/4 Ton HUMVEES with .50Cal's have the right-of-way!
When we got on the scene and linked up with the Hell Raisers, we found at LEAST 200 pro-Sadam demonstrators. They were holding signs and pictures with his likeness and chanting "No more Bush". Now, this is after we caught the Rat so I don't know what they were hoping to accomplish. They began throwing shoes and rocks, but the 3rd platoon of B CO 1/502 got some razor wire rolls and stretched it out. They then began walking towards the rioters to sweep them from the area. By this time we were heavily reinforced by an MP company and their gun trucks as well as dismounts with non-lethal shotgun rounds. We also had element from our C CO on the ground. Within 30 min we were able to put almost half the Battalion on the ground and the rioters eventually moved off and dispersed. There were some warning shots fired by the Iraqi police that got our hairs up, but other than that, all went well. We then returned to our HQ and remained on standby for the rest of the night.
Someone commented in an earlier post as to the age of the platoon. They are infinitely more mature than their age when it comes time to doing business. They become focused machines when we roll out of the gates and I couldn't be happier with their performance. Now, back here at Wardog HQ, they are a bunch of cut ups, but I wouldn't want it any other way!
Don't forget to check out the pics at www.paintballmedia.com and watch this space for more updates!
Thanks again for all your support!

                      Merry X-mas!

I have updated the Pics with some Christmas photos. I actually can say I had a good time. The Secretary of the Army visited during the meal and that was a small morale booster. I hope you and yours have a very wonderful holiday season!

same from me. and i love seeing the pics, the halloween one is my fav. i cant however say that i would want to find out of the round "bounced" though.

i have a question for you. most of the pictures i see from over there show guys with goggles on their helmets. they stay there regardless of how much sand is blowing around and i just wonder why in the world you guys dont wear them.

Great question! Me and my men wore our goggles a lot during the initial stages of the war and during helicopter operations. As we moved north, the sand became less and less of an issue. It is also now the rainy season and the sand does not blow around nearly the way it did. Trust me though, when it is blowing, my goggles go on!:)
