the flag isn't backwards, the stars of the stars and stripes always are on the front part of the flag to make it look like it's charging, not retreating. hope that makes sense.

If you mail the package out next week you should still be good to go. Suggest not to send any more packages after the 9th, though. Thanks Caffiend!! Doobie will definately appreciate that

In reply to the flag...the union (the blue field part) always faces forward of a vehicle. So, if it were on the left shoulder (which, it isnt, because thats where the unit patch is), it would look normal. As it is on the right, it is worn "backwards" to keep within regulations. And, the wearing of the flag is indicative of a peacekeeping force. Cuba, Bosnia, Iraq, Afghanistan...all are required to wear it, to identify us as peacekeepers.

And it's hard to say about IAO, because the 101st deploys so much that I wouldn't be surprised if they turn around and go somewhere again by then...hahaaha!!
