Paintball at your High School?

well,during the school year,my transportation teacher had a paintball catalog on his desk.he said he is going to get one.i asked him about starting a club,but he dosnt know.guess ill find out in september

This kid tried to make one at my school but had no idea what he was talking about. He set up the meeting the vice principal and told me that afternoon that we needed to go to this meeting. So I went in with no information and we got shot down. I probably could have made it happen if I had had aweek to prepare. But the dumb kid rushed everything.

I'd love to do something like this. Only problem is, I attend a gay private school. I'm in a class of 39, and about 120 total in the high school. There are about 5 other people total who play paintball, so it would be kind of worthless to form a club.

Concerning getting paintball approved as a school sport, it would never happen. I am also a boy scout (working on my Eagle, w00t), and we can have no official scouting trips to play paintball because we are shooting "weapons" at eachother. It's a national policy. The public, at least right now, sees paintball as a bunch of kids shooting eachother playing army.

what i would do is....

what i would do is just be very carefull when you are bringing it up...make sure you say paintball marker instead of using the word gun....bring up about how safe the game is when played properly...

Good advice danoxide, Me and a few friends will soon start writing a carefully worded proposal for the club and if that succedes maybe a intermural tourny style situation since other schools don't have paintball teams but hopefully Lockport will start the trend.

My high school got a paintball club the year after I left. From what I hear the best thing to do is talk to the principal and have a teacher as a sponsor/leader.

My school had 2300 students my senior year (10-12th grades)

I don't think any teachers at my school paintball but I could be wrong, guess I just have to wait till the end of august.
