my high school has a paintball club. it was created the year before my freshman year (last year). when my friends and i joined there was only one member, who was on his last year in highschool. the club never really did much, though. it was hard to find, the school even had one day where each club set up a table outside the caf, and the paintball club wasnt there. after my friends and i joined, we tried to get people to join, putting up signs, which ended up with controversy, as some teachers said that it "promoted violence" and reminded them of columbine. only a few people joined, but never showed up. after that settled we tried to have a fundraiser for maybe starting a small tournament team, but then we found out that to do that, we'd have to hold a fundraiser, give the earnings to the school, and then apply to the school stating what we'd spend the money on - and we wouldnt be able to buy jerseys or any equipment whatsoever, and the money would have to be split between all the members, even those that never showed up, and just had their name on the list. the club leader never seemed to care about the club, and often did not even show up, especially towards the end of the year. maybe the club will be better next year with my friend as the president, and me as the vp. if you want to make the club, go for it, but make sure that you have the interest first.

Sniper King, I never been to Lincoln Way but I think I've played against LW when I was on the golf team. Ya I'll let you know how it goes.
Slade, thats bs man nothing like that would happen at lockport if a team/club was started, waaaaay too many people play, I'm pretty confident that this will fall threw because I talked to my counselor about it and she told me to write up a proposal for the principal to review, if it does happen I hope we would be able to take busses to various pb parks just like the ski club goes to resorts in the winter and if they have any doubt I'll remind them about all the people that got hurt in ski club this year.Comment

I tried once to get a team at my school a while ago but you needed a teacher to sponsor it and nobody would. This year I'm gonna try to get some teachers to come play with me and see if they will then sponsor a paintball club.

safety
According to insurance companies, there are fewer injuries from paintball than any other sport. This may be because paintball only really started taking off a few years ago, but that still goes to show how high a priority safety is.

I could probably get one started at my highschool. I know of one teacher that would sponsor it (he takes his students paintballing every year). The only problem is that it is expensive

It wouldn't cost him too much to sponsor it, except time he would probably want to collect the field fee/paint/bus fare ahead of time and after that I think it would work out it would practically pay for itself if enough people at your school joined. Maybe even badlandz or country club would cut us a deal.Comment

My school had/has a paintball club. It was where you'd get to see the coldest and darkest of the students. Everyone started to have "competition" between each other.
You'd have the rich kids who would have NIB Speeds for their 2nd game. And you'd have the 5 year experience kids who would criticize the spoiled kids. Than you'd have fat kids who talked too much smack. Than the little chinese kids who talked smack but would never show up the field. It was HORRIBLE, I came for like 2 weeks, and never showed my face up again.
I was literally King when I had my Angel LCD. Loss respect when I "downgraded" to a Emag, than gained some more respect for Timmy. Now that I have a MECHANICAL mag, I wonder what they will say next
I do know the AO sig rules, I just want a free sig pic, that's all!

there for a bit i didnt think it was far away from being an actual sport branching to HS since colleges have picked it up and even a few fund it as any other sport they have. But personally I think the Mode rule change in the NXL will turn around and put the sport back a bit. I dont think many "outside" people will take the sport seriously when they allow all the different modes of fire instead of having to do 1 shot 1 pull. But thats just my opinion.
