One of my goals this year is to start a paintball club in my school. If that goes well, I'm going to talk to other schools about starting them. Hopefully, get a little league going, doesn't have to be school recognized or funded. It is going to be hard, but I'm up for the challenge. Looks good on college applications too.

what liability problems are there that cant be solved with a waiver?

Waivers don't solve any liability problems. In order to waive a right, you have to be compensated. The waivers you sign at paintball fields don't compensate you, therefore have no legal value.
