ive made legit statements. There is not much of a grounds for suit. A cease and desist would do no good on grips that arent produced anymore. Hence the connection and reference to the 2004 style grips. Any "intelligent adult" such as yourself wouldve made that connection if youve read through.

Slarty has no place in notifiying the reps of the company of a copyright infringement or eh ehmm....Alleged infringement. And spreading it around public forums is hurtful to a business such as hybrid or any of their dealers, and is LIBEL, and is grounds for legal action in itself.

Apparently YOU dont know how the business world works. Slanderous statements that are written and posted w/ the intent for thousands of the "consuming demographic" are pursposefully intented to harm sales and business of hybrid. Its action for a lawsuit. A company suing a company is one thing, but Im bringing the lawyers to slartys door since he has to be that way.

By damages I think slarty means back pay. If ioi sued and won hybrid would have to pay a fee for every grip they sold with that logo on it. Those are indeed damages. It doesnt matter that they help advertise and they are not selling video games, but it does matter that hybrid took ioi's copyrighted images and used them to make money.

what damages though? true hybrid used an image copyrighted by IOI, and IOI could sue hybrid for money for doing so, but in no way did hybrid "damage" IOI. They could sue hybrid for using the image, not to regain money hybrid deprived IOI of.

What inside info do you guys have other than whats been posted?

yak, you are right. Hybrid could have legally obtained, and give % of sales to, each respective company. However, people are trying to defend hybrid by saying
1-it doesnt matter
2-game companies have nothing to do with what pb companies sell
3-cannot copyright a person or movie character
4-ioi will not care since they make millions
5-insert any random made of fact they have heard about ip rights

Those are just some comment on this subject here and on pbn. Those are the things that piss me off. Slarty has every right to, and everyone on the planet should, report hybrid for this. They have been doing this for a while now. If someone was using my items I would love for someone to email saying did you know this guy was using yoru stuff. If they obtained it through me then no harm, but if they did not I would have greatly appreciated whoever tipped me off. Fact remains that slarty did not do anything wrong at all, even if hybrid obtained everything legally.

do yourself a favor and drop that argument now. Just look at the grips, and then the front cover of the game. It definately is the same image. and unless that e-mail was faked, then the image isnt licenced to hybrid by IOI.
