Lst time I went to Hybrids site, they had removed all the contract killer grips that had been a stolen image. Other than that, I've heard nothing............

Are you those people or is that speculation? Sword cuts both ways. Well I would argue there is a difference I would not defend AGD's action either. Nor have the people said here that AGD was right or Intel was wrong, they have pointed out the differences. You're trying to troll for a response you wanted, the defense of AGD. Ok guys we are going in cirles again and the last time this happened a perment ban was the result.

Hero's are not being created nor revered.

The discussion although it has skewed a few times is basically. Did Hybid have the permissions for the images they used? If the game creators are to be believed then No would be the answer, the now lack of images of these grips on Hybrid's own site should be proof enough of their legality.

Did AGD do wrong by using the Intel image... since Intel asked AGD to stop doing it, it would appear so...Tom came online and told everyone this.

Defence of AGD (Tom) has been put forward with the reasons of "not for profit or gain" as a reason that Tom wasn't doing it for either well according to Intel they didn't care either way just that they wanted Tom to stop doing it. As far as anything else goes Tom is reasonably open about some things and no further mention of damages has been made.
I personanly thought the use of the image was pretty damned cool, but I also thought as to how long it would last before Intel got involved. IP has to be protected whoever the company is, in the same way that patent holders have to enforce their patent/s...don't swing this to an anti SP thread, since that has been done to death already many times over...I like the Cocaine T shirts in the style of the Coke lettering but I seriously doubt that Coke likes the T shirts and try to close the printers down everytime they find them. Every few years or so the swiss watches makers band together and go on a purge in the far east and get 1000's of fake watches seized and get them publically crushed, all they are doing is protecting their trademarks and IP.

The issue at hand as far as we know now is that the grips have been withdrawn from public view on the Hybrid website and if anything else is to occur regarding damages/licensing then that is for Hybrid to announce.

I think it important to point out though that even those making that defense did not make the argument that that defense made it right or Intels request for it to stop wrong.

Personally i really dont care about it i just find it exxtremely ironic and hypocritical that this example will get defended as expected due to it being the beloved AGD but persecuted when it is someone else.
I have nothing against what AGD did or Hybrd for that matter. They made their own bed.

Once again would the thread starter be considered the big hero if he informed Intel of AGD using their image. Would you praise him for it ? I think you wouldnt, he would be burned right out of this place.

True but then nor did I Intel did that for me also the other examp-le I gave regarding Coke and the Swiss watch makers amounts to the same thing.
I only posted as this thread again as although a little littered with digs at one person or another it has come back on track and I didn't wish to see it skew off again and result in me closing the thread and banning more people.

True but no longer http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/cocaine.asp so since T shirts were not a 1920's fashion item but a more modern invention(adoption) the company will go after people printing those shirts.

I havent read all the posts yet so i dont know if anyone has came up with this idea yet, but does anyone think it would be a cool compromise between the two companies if the next Hitman game IOI came out with he had a pair of chrome .45s with Hybrid grips on them?

It's not really much of a compromise, now is it?

A compromise would have to involve Hybrid doing the cormpromising. Having their product put into a video game isn't going to help IOI sell any games...
