Yep, that's come up elsewhere.

You could genuinely have a bunch of foregrips at the field that you place onto each gun as the guy steps up to play.

There are issues and concerns with that, but it may be a step in the right direction.

How long until "mini only" one design of gun tournaments start up...

didn't the NXL try that in some sense with their "NXL" chip?

While I am obviously still very much a die hard AGD supporter, I am very open minded. I try other markers and I'm on the pre-order for the dang mini, so don't just assume things about me you don't know. Why do you speak for the 98% of AO?

It was neither. As mobsterboy stated, I was leading along the argument using geekwarriors logic(which I dont believe is correct) in hopes Ao'ers like you and A-Tach would come in here and disprove his theory.

Its my belief that most Ao'ers are open-minded. Are we biased? Yes, to some extent. Only that we dont necessarily take whats marketed to us at face value, we question it all. And just because we(as in AO'ers) dont necessarily like something, doesnt mean "its only good because AGD made it". Yet, simultaneously, this is an AGD forum, and should be assumed that it has its core of followers.

It's an EMag... An electropneumatic EMag with a Level 10 rip off. That's it. I'm really not too impressed. The whole "no hosing" thing has been done before (SL68-II, Epic), the bottomline regulator has been done before (Angel AIR, THOR, and a few others), and the firing mechanism is an enhanced Level 10 EMag. The only thing new about it (as far as I know) are the interchangable boards/packs. That's it!

I'm really not impressed, and I really find it hard for anyone to be.

for the record I was talking more about lenny's post (and others like it in other threads) than what you or lohman are saying. He was coming across as more of a fanboy nothing but a mag (at least to me) and yes, I expect an AO bias when I come on here, I am a little partial towrd AO myself.

I've seen many paintball guns that are not Mags in A-Tach's hand's. He just doesn't hang onto them for very long. In viewing the Mini assembly videos, what strikes me is the integrated design of the gun. There's nothing there that looks like it's an add on or like it's been adobted from another usage, such as the current EP solenoids now in popular use. Whether or not it is a reliable performing gun remains to be seen but I would hesitate to say that the overall design doesn't constitute some new degree of advanced systems integration. The one thing the Mini cannot duplicate or surpass is the sound and feel of a Mag shooting. If A-Tach-One and others who own the Mini end up grabbing a Mag instead, I suspect it will be because of that, not out of blind loyalty.

I just spent a buttload on milling/anodizing my viking.... when I could've purchased the Mini.
