AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Its a very nice marker. I like it alot, but judging from these posts, it seems alot of you guys are gonna defect over from the Mag world, believing that this quite possibly is the new E-Mag. It wouldn't surprise me if most of you start introducing this gun to people as "My new E-Mag". Is this the gun that's finally gonna knock the Auto/Mini/E/X-Mag off the map for good? Please tell me I'm wrong.
This marker looks interesting. By the description of how it works, i think this is the original design that Simon used, redesigned, and made work properly.

the gun looks kinda cool, i'm not sure i like the front grip, however i'm diggin the NEW design. i like the poppet valve (used in most piston engines) incorporation. and the battery/board in the foregrip....connected by only a few well placed wires, thats another cool feature.
anyways, my friend just ordered one, hopefully he gets one from the first batch. when he gets it. i'll let everyone know how it shoots. but from the video, it looks like it rips pretty nicely.
It's an EMag... An electropneumatic EMag with a Level 10 rip off. That's it. I'm really not too impressed. The whole "no hosing" thing has been done before (SL68-II, Epic), the bottomline regulator has been done before (Angel AIR, THOR, and a few others), and the firing mechanism is an enhanced Level 10 EMag. The only thing new about it (as far as I know) are the interchangable boards/packs. That's it!
I'm really not impressed, and I really find it hard for anyone to be.

You have to be kidding, or didn't watch the videos. It doesn't work like an E-mag, it doesn't work like a level 10, and the parts aren't even similar. It doesn't work like an AIR valve either. It doesn't have a sear, it doesn't have a solenoid pulling on a sear. It doesn't have a volume chamber regulated then dumped.
I'm guessing you didn't watch the videos, and you aren't familiar with how either gun works.
I would have thought these video's would have proved how different it is.

What? Apparently you don't know very much. Of course its not revolutionary, show me any marker in the past three years that has been. That being said, as Manike stated it is far more similiar to other methods of operation than the E-mag.

put the koolaid down and explain why its the same.

I watched the videos. They're what made me come to this conclusion.
The 2 speed bolt thing, the removal of the rear grip frame screw to get the valve and bolt assembly out, the spring deal on the bolt, battery in the front grip, integrated regulator (except the Mini's isn't attached to the valve), etc.
I never said it wasn't a cool little gun. It definately has some very nice features, but I don't find it as revolutionary as everyone says. Even the no hose thing was done before. That's not "new and revolutionary." And if I recall correctly, the PigTV interview with you, you said that bottomline regulation assemblies have failed before in the past, but you guys somehow made it work. I used to have an Angel AIR reg and that thing rocked! THORs left something to be desired, but they were definately not failures. Just passing trends.
And as for the sear thing, I know it doesn't have one. Thus I said "electropneumatic EMag" as in air operates the valve/bolt mechanism.
I really don't find it too impressive, or at least as much as everyone claims it to be. I wouldn't call it "revolutionary"... maybe more like a gun with a lot of good ideas slammed into one. But not revolutionary.
And you have to admit, it is very much like an EMag.

It shares some concepts with the mag bolt operation... but it's far from an emag.
I would defineltly call it a refined King Cobra. Think about it. Take a design with potential. To make it smaller put the volume chamber and solenoid in the frame. replace the front grip/reg with the battery and a small board, and the only place left for the reg is in the bottom ASA. Since the ASA/reg is now next to the pneumatics... voila, no hoses.
Totally groundbreaking? - Not really- Other than the electronic foregrip it's a reconfigured modern King cobra. Now, add the fact that it can be hyped to end on PBN because one of it's makers is a moderator there, PBN is like an AGG moneytree, most kids over there don't remember the king cobra, and it's glorious pricetag... one can only guess at it's great chances of success!
Think of the old skool shocker versus the 2k3 shocker. Ya... it's kinda like that.
I'm not bashing the Mini in any way.
Is it nice solid marker that even Manike would be proud to endorse? -- YES!
Does it have a good pricetag per performance? -- HECK YES!
It is groundbreaking? --- Ehhh, almost. Moreso than most, but not quite.
-------------edit------------
thinking more about it's "inovation"...
The bolt system is strikingly similar to the king cobra's.
The battery is in the front grip like the emag.
It has a manifold solenoid like many guns.
All internal airlines are nothing new, just uncommon.
Monotube design like shocker/mag/epic/etc
Bottom screw in ASA regulator similar to a thor regulator.
Bolt assembly out back - like a mag or other b.o.b. guns
Really straining to think... this guns only "new" inovation is the board in the grip idea.
I guess I would call the mini a "medely of systems integration" moreso than "groundbreakingly inovative"
