I agree no private property should be forced to allow (and they are not). However, universities are publically owned and should not be able to restrict the same as private property."Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not" - Dr Suess -

True enough. Private property = civil matter. Don't like it, attend a different one.Originally posted by PneumaggerNot all universities are public.
Interesting point though. I did check the restrictions on mine and it applies to all university class rooms
Of course, the more I think about it the less inclined I am to think that private property has the right to restrict my rights."Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not" - Dr SuessComment

The irony is that we have in our schools sex offenders that were convicted of a "heinous offense" and no one cares? I mean we are talking high schools. It bothers you to know that some one in class may be licensed to carry but you don't care that you may be sharing the room with a criminal?
Just for the record ( i like how Phil but it ) if we are ever together in an area and you are being robbed by gun point you are on your own. I'm not going to help you. I carry to protect me, if I happen to save you in the process then great but I'm only going to pull my weapon to protect me and mine.
And just to underline how ridiculous this thread is: ever see those signs on the side of the road that say "sponsored by xxx" that's because xxx group volunteered to pick up trash on the high way, not to mention the volunteer fire department.
