I understand you are all upset. Sam i whole heartedly understand you. Dan(aka dirty) i understand your wanting of free ideas on ao. Everyone else, shut up! all this is is a bunch of bickering. Nothing is comming out of this thread. All you are doing is burning bridges in the ao brotherhood.

The things that happened happened, and are done for. PLease, let this die. This is not worth arguing over. Why live in the past? move on and let it go. LETS GET BACK TO GETHER PEACEFULLY.... I can't believe all this rubbish.

Some people need to learn when it is better for themselves and the community to just shut up.

A vocal minority are not happy. Well that happens. As I've said before there is a choice here people.

There is something in the rules about not being a disruptive influence... well heck time to implement those rules and ban some people. They should know better after having been on the boards so long...

heres my reason: because I have some pride in my work and try so hard to do what the majority of the members want in spite of what some may view as right or wrong or rules or not. And I try so hard to do what I view as right for the site while trying to balance the personal rights of the membership. And its just a pride thing you grow up with when your taught that every job is worth doing right.

LOL True... but like the saying goes.. if the shoe fits.. if it doesn't... Your foot may not fit the problems and issues being discussed.

I just think that the major disruptions in this thread (as well as insults and bad manners) seemed to come from Moderators, not those who had a problem with something. I know I for one tried VERY hard to keep it civil and factual, but I STILL got crapped on for it.

Well I beg to differ a little there but I can see your point. Remember Mods are members too. So in this thread especialy we are being members and telling things from our perspective...

Sorry man.. but it makes a good point. The reason they can't imediatly ban ppl is just that. Everyone slips up now and then, including them. Imagine what the influence would be if ppl were getting banned left and right? I mean AO started by a small group spreading the word about GOOD STUFF. And we all know something bad spreads 4 times as quick. We are eager to complain, get offended, call names, but complimenting isn't our best side is it? If someone gets banned... the next day at te field would sound like this " I can't beleive they blah blah blah did that to me... I'm never going to buy AGD stuff again." That statment will influence ppl negitivly about AGD products.
Whatever, it's all pie to me. Paintball is a highstrung sport, any wonder there are so many hotheads here?

Manike, I know times when even yourself has gotten a bit "hot under the collar" and could have been considered "disruptive". The problem with just using "disruptive" as a guide for Banning someone is that it is WAY too subjective. As was stated, if you cut a swath using "disruptive" alone as a standard for removal from the forums, AO would soon be an empty place. And we are thus far the BEST forum on the Internet concerning Paintball.

"Disruptive" could apply to far too many things. One might consider any opinion contrary to almost any point of view, as being "disruptive", no matter how civil it was worded or the intent of the author. One might consider any disagreement with AGD, AO Staff, or any other AO member as being "disruptive" to the tranquility of the newly formed AO Drones.

And again, this is what AO has been trying to fight from day one... the perception that all AO members think alike and are mindless drones. It has also been the thing that has made AO hold its collective head high. But I know you must not now be saying that differing opinions that may be contrary to the majority view are not to be posted at all because they may be "disruptive" to someone who can not control themselves or their emotions. Can you image that? Posting ANYTHING would be a total crap shoot unless you got it personally endorced by AO Staff or Admin before doing so.

OR only a select few would be free to post what they want, and anyone posting "against" them would be the fodder for the new "disruptive" standard. But who should choose who those people are?

Also, does a minority opinion mean less than a majority opinion? I thought that was what most Laws were to protect, well at least here in the US. And I am sure we can both think of times and places that the Majority was NOT correct.

No, "disruptive" is not good enough.... that is unless it it applied EVENLY (and heck, few of the other rules are applied evenly in ALL situations as it is), and that would leave AO with very few members, if any.... because at one point or another we would ALL break that "rule". :)

Thanks Heat you said it very well. I could not add a thing to that at all.

I want to point out something here on all of this. One thing is for certain. EVERYONE including the people I or you disagree with (this is all sides to all issues brought up here) are doing what they think is good for AGD or AO. There heart is in the right place. Wether you agree it is the right thing or not. They all feel what they did was the right thing for AO and AGD. That means they care more about the place than any one person wether that be Moderator, Admin, Owner or regular member. I think that is one thing we all have in common. And is why we always come back to being a family. We agree to disagree sometimes but in the end we all love each other like family. Even if we don't like each other we would miss each other. Hard to believe isn't it? But stay with me for a minute.

In this case Army truely thought he was doing the right thing. He thought he was enhancing AO. And Riotz and Sam thought they were protecting AO. All of these guys are acting out of love and protection of AO. They disagree on what that is. Thats all that there is too it. No one can say that anyone had their hearts in the wrong place. That I do know. That you all must accept. Its the truth.
