I love SF. I just happen to think the majority of the people living there are nuts.

But the city itself is in my top three in the country.

I know I know I'm dragging up an old issue again but I saw this bit on the BBC news site and had to share it. Apparently guns are becoming the weapon of choice in England too.

Some cities in England sponsor an amnesty day for folks to turn in thier weapons. Wait a minute I thought they were illegal there already? Oh, that's right they are, and for some reason they are still such a big problem that they need to set up amnesty days so they can get them off the streets. Then again as the article shows, even with the numbers of weapons pulled in by the police there are still people not turning in thier weapons... what a suprise.

Here in the US, Toys-R-Us used to give you a 100$ gift certificate for every gun you turned in to them. Folks used to go into the store, buy a toy gun, take off the markings and tunr the 10$ toy back in for a 100$ gift certificate. Hell even I took advantage of that one. I handed in a shotgun that my grandfather bought in 1963. The stock was cracked, the firing pin was missing, something was wrong with the trigger and the barrels were rusted badly. I don't think it was worth more than the 10$ toy... so I proudly marched in to the local police station and turned in this unregistered guna nd get my gift certificate.

Where can you buy liquor in Alabama on Sundays outside of private bars, and where can you buy liquor in WalMart.

Don't bother. You could deliver CB a bottle of beer a receipt, and video tape of your purchase and he would still argue you are wrong!

Please Demobilized don't start the madness up again with him!
