"Second place is a bitter place to be isn't it.

Why don't you answer my question. "

I have no idea when OU beat Alabama, nor the other way around. NOR DO I CARE. I hope Alabama beats OU next week. I'm a OSU fan collegeboy, if your reading comprehension skills had grown with any of your college tenure, you would know this.

Btw, its 4:20 EST, when is Alabama's offense going to show up?

Oh yeah, SEC = way over-rated. Nice job getting your collective butts handed to you last year in the bowls.

My bad, miss typed meant OSU. What is OSU win ratio against Alabama. (my recollection has it at 0.00, for if I remember correctly OSU has never beaten Alabama)

Oh they showed up, 40 to 17 (or so) final score.

I am surprised that the offence got it together that fast. For just 3 months ago they had to learn another new system (that is three in 8 months year).

Oh and Tenessee does not have the hardest schedule, according to CFP they are number 20, Bama is number 3.

How many times has OSU even played alabama? Twice? Btw, good job beating a glorified I-AA school. Hang that belt up next to the probation belt.

To my memory they have played twice and have lost twice.

We beat a decent team, USF is a I-A team that is pretty good. I was surprised we did as good as we did considering the circumstances.

Oh by the way look for me on College Gameday next week, I will be waiving a white Bama flag with a sign that reads, Hey Sooners, I guess you finally found your balls.

As much as I hate rooting for the same team as collegegirl, I got to root against the sooners.

So how is Pickett doing in that Heisman race? Do you get extra points for hitting the ground the most?

hmmm I had thought that the Big Ten won in the conference rankings last year(the year that they were supposed to be down), give me a break kid, watch a couple games every now and again and come back with something that holds weight.

This whole Big XII versus Big Ten (11) thing is kinda stupid really. First of all, the Big XII is a much harder conference than any other in the country period. Rooster, you're whole argument you made so far is "Oh, Baylor...they're tough. The Big Ten (11) would bend them over something." Yeah, that's good...why don't you pick out the only true weak team in the Big XII as it's example? Riiiight. So, ok, by that rationale do the Big XII backers get to say the Big Ten (11) is weak as hell based on Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Michigan State, Indiana and Iowa? Because believe me, the Big Ten (11) wasn't showing anybody anything just a short couple years ago. They even made a point about discussing it on ESPN it had gotten so bad. The conversation topic was "What happened to the Big Ten (11)?" because before the last two years, they were either making no appearances in major bowls or losing them. Period.

The Big Ten (11) has Ohio State (good team), Michigan (good team), Penn State (usually good team), Northwestern (sucks majorly), Illinois (most of the time embarrassing), Indiana (why do they even play football at all?), Purdue (Yay! Offense! Defense? What's that?), Minnesota (sucks), Wisconsin (good team), Iowa (bounces from good to suck every few years), and Michigan State (same thing).

The Big XII has OU (good team), Texas (good team), KState (good team), Nebraska (good team, except for last year), Texas Tech (sometimes good, sometimes bad), Texas A&M (good team), Baylor (sucks), Missouri (good back in the day, sucked for a long time, now decent again), Kansas (should stick to basketball), Iowa State (decent), Oklahoma State (bounces from good to bad and back again), and Colorado (good team).

Sooo...that looks like the Big XII has 10 good or decent teams to the Big Ten (11)'s 5. Yep, the Big Ten (11) are just "the men" alright. You might be wondering why I keep putting the "11" next to those Big Ten's? Oh, that's in reference to your comment about the Big XII being soft. See, it's not that they're soft or not up to playing smashmouth football. (Have you ever even seen Nebraska play football?) They invented smashmouth guy! Anyway, they use different offenses because they're smart enough to figure out how too. The Big Ten (11) isn't even smart enough to change they're title to show they have eleven teams. They just do the cute little "11" in the spaces around the "T". I understand it's tradition and they didn't want to become the Big 11, but if that was the case they shouldn't have added an eleventh member.

The $EC...well, I gotta give it to them. Most of the time, they are one hard, pipe hittin' conference. They have a few whipping boys themselves, but for the most part they don't play around. Now, if they could just stop cheating the NCAA rules to get that way...

The Big East...for the most part sucks. The good teams, except WV, are leaving.

The ACC isn't half bad, and seems to be on the rise really. Getting VTech and Miami won't hurt at all. That'll make them step up to become one of the best conferences ever.

The PAC-10 has it's highs and lows, they have good teams sprinkled around bad teams. For the most part, they're just overrated though.

...and I'm an Irish fan, so conferences mean little to me.
