Come on Notre Dame. Join the ACC in ALL sports and play with the big boys.

Miami, FSU, Va. Tech. 3/5th of the top 5

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Hey, that'd be cool actually. I like the fact Notre Dame is Independent in football because of the money they make if they do well, but having a conference championship and an automatic BCS bid would be great for the years where they're not doing so good. Plus, it'd be great to play quality competition like Miami, VT, and FSU year in and year out. Of course, the downside to being in the ACC would be scheduling limitations. Right now the Irish enjoy the ability to schedule anyone, and usually fill their Saturdays with top ranked opponents and great rivalries. There are good and bad sides to the whole deal I guess. One thing I do wish they would do is have all Irish sports teams be in the same conference or Independent. It's a little odd being Indy in football and Big East in basketball.

          Utah vs Oregon

Utah just spanked the Ducks. I'm so stoked. Maybe Utah will actually get some national attention.

I love Saturdays in the fall. The biggest choke artist since John Cooper, Lloyd Carr, served his team up a nice loss for their ailing record. So much for National Championship hopes.

Notre Dame didn't lose today, almost a miracle. Of course, they didn't play.

The question of the day is, does a single team in the SEC have a good defense? Georgia looked positively sorry against an inferior Alabama team. Auburn, the national title contendors, were supposed to have a excellent defense. Arkansas has gotten into shootouts, hardly defensive battles. The two big questions are LSU and Tennesse.

That other team (or cow college) played well. They have been vastly underrated since there two loses. but their defense was very one demandingly. They ran the same two coverages. Clausen just wasn't good enough to not throw the ball away, and the volunteer WR couldn't catch them.

That other school better learn a couple more coverages before someone is able to catch them.

Hey, what was Baylor doing beating Colorado? Man, that's embarassing.

Lots of great college football action this weekend! I'll be watching the Red River Shootout with my best friend, the world's biggest OU fan, so that should be fun. Miami plays FSU to kick the day off, and that should prove to be a great game too. I really see FSU winning that one though.

Notre Dame plays the Panthers of Pittsburgh this weekend, and hopefully we not only find a way to stop Larry Fitzgerald but get the Irish offense going. I like Notre Dame to pull the upset here, esepcially since historically we're 21-2 coming off of bye weeks.

Ohio State will probably beat Wisconsin by seven again, although I'm sure it'll be the greatest game ever played by the most talented, coolest, most profound college team in the land...The Buckeyes! (Hope they get dropped on their ---).

Tennessee has a tough game with Georgia, and Collegeboy's Tide have to take on the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. Good luck to everyone's teams...even you, Buckeyes.

If it comes down to a kick, FSU is done. That is way too much pressure on their special teams. Wide Left II would be great!

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I think it's up to FSU to make sure it doesn't come down to a kick. I'm sure they, more than anybody, don't want that.
