This is why I hate the French, well really the Parisians!

Twenty two years ago a piece of crap named Mumia Abu Jamal murdered in cold blood Daniel Faulkner, a Philadelphia Police Officer! His guilt is beyond question. Mumia's own brother testified against him at trial. No appeals court has ever found an error in fact in Mumia's case.

The media has turned Mumia into a celebrity. Some whacko college in the Northwest made him their commencement speaker via tape. Thankfully their was a large protest against this with almost half the graduating class walking out or standing and turning their backs to the podium.

Well this week, the socialist mayor of Paris has made Mumia Abu Jamal an honorary citizen of Paris. This mayor and all of Paris should be ashamed of themselves for honoring a convicted cop killer.

Mumia should not be receiving accolades, he should be rotting in the ground!!

The Philadelphia FOP, the Pennsauken PBA, and other law enforcement support organizations have the trial transcripts available for anyone to review. The trial clearly established Mumia's guilt.

Now because Mumia was a pseudo-journalist, he is being portrayed by many in the media a victim of a racist conspiracy.

Want some good reading? Read the New Your Posts Editorial on this today! They actually stand up and say to the French WTF are you thinking?

Hearing all this ruined my day!

Yeah Mumia pisses me off too. I saw a story on him on 60 minutes i think it was....and they had on a guy who *was* Mumia's biggest supporter/organizer. But I guess this guy turned on him after Mumia pretty much confessed to him that he had killed the cop. So now this guy is Mumias biggest detractor.

Why did they do this? It is important to understand the whole issue, not just it at face value.

            STFU!!

Why don't you read for a change!!!

Paris is run by soocialists who despise the Death Penalty. So they honor Mumia to make a statement about the death penalty. They honor a cop killer who is guilty as sin. They don't honor someone on death row who was freed to point out the problems with the system. They honored SCUM!!

This is how misinformation and ignorance is spread (I am not calling anyone ignorant)

I asked a simple question. Your post said he was convicted and is guilty, something he even said. But why did the Paris government and many other people pick him to honor? What is so special about his case?

Could it have something to do with this?

                      CB,

                      STFU!!!!

Amnesty Int'l is not an unbiased source. They are taking issue saying he received inferior legal services. They are anti-death penalty in all cases! They look for any loophole to undermine it.

As for the Parisians, honor a freed death row inmate or someone who could be a postor child, not a cop killing scumbag!!!

CB-Please come to SC AO II!!! You and me, we need to play a serious 1 on 1 game! I'll even use my leg brace to make it even!!! I'll lend you a marker if you can't bring one! You need to be bunkered point blank in the head big time!!!

I am not taking sides on this one, I am just trying to solve the question of why all the hoopla.

And if you would read the whole report you will see that Amnesty is not trying to get him innocent or stop the death penalty, they are trying to make sure that his case is legal.

He was a journalist who was making some rather bad thing about the government in Philadelphia. Did he kill the cop, many think so, many think it was an accident, many think it was in cold blood. The background behind it and the times shows a possible political prisoner and a politically motivated case.
                          OH MY DEAR LORD STFU!!!!

He was a hack writer for a nothing local newsletter! He shot Danny Faulkner in the back! MUMIA'S OWN BROTHER TESTIFIED AGAINST HIM. THEY FOUND THE GUN WITH MUMIA'S PRINTS ALL OVER IT! THE GUN WAS REGISTERED TO MUMIA"S BROTHER!!

The overturning and re-instatements of the sentence are procedural and political. There is a very large group of people determined to make Mumia the poster child for the Anti-Death Penalty movement. He is a cop killer!

THe political prisoner crap infuriates me! Tonight when I get home, I am going to post a picture of a T-shirt that was given to me by a buddy on the Pennsauken Police force!

He is somewhat well spoken and twists the media to his benefit.

                          Hey CB,
Have you read the transcripts or looked at any of the testamony? I have! So until you read, STFU!!!!!!!!

Read the other report I posted. Pretty interesting. Especially the idea that when he came he saw his brother being beaten over the head by the cop, then the cop might have turned saw this guy coming to see what was going on, then the cop turned and fired at the guy, the guy in turn fired back at the cop.

A Black Panther party member, a journalist who wrote stuff bad about the government, and an opportunity to put him away. All sounds like a chance for a mistake.

Did he kill the officer, yes, but that doesn't mean it was cold blooded, it deserved the death penalty, and all that other stuff.

Again people read it all, and make your own decision. I would like to see a new trial this time. But other then that I will not make up my mind of my belief.
