AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
and if you think that just one beer at dinner isnt effecting you, you really are thickheaded, any amount of alcohol in your system has an effect on you, the only reason people drink alcohol is to feel the effects of the drug. even if you just have one beer, that one beer is affecting your brain, and while you may think that you can function at top performance, your brain will be inpercievably affected (maybe that relaxed feeling after a beer, or the slight lightheadedness or "buzz" as people call it)
at one point in life, i have my share of alcohol consumption. after awhile your body gets immuned to that buzz, we just keep drinking and would never get a that buzz. what we did was to quit for a month and start allover again.
just think that most europians barery drink water. a while back a buddy went to england and ordered some water, people where just looking at him like he was crazy

your mind might get immuned to the buzz, but your liver is continuously affected, and so is your brain... correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't alcohol kill brain cells?

true, i guess meth is more physically destructive, but we cant disreguard the fact that alcohol is also very physically destructive, and that combined with the type of impairment makes alcohol considerably more dangerous to the people around you. driving for example, someone said earlier that a good majority of the people that drive home from bars are drunk. i'm willing to bet that if there was a reliable study done on the driving ability of individuals while under the influence of different drugs, then alcohol would rank above almost everything, and it would maybe even be number one.

I would rather be around a drunk then someone high on, or withdrawing from Meth. The idea that meth makes you paranoid, is not make beleive.

K... Try driving on heroine. Try driving on acid. Try driving on Salvia (technically not a drug but can be used as one.) I'm not saying that driving while drunk is easy, not that I have. But there are worse drugs out there.

have ever tried driving on any one of those? i doubt it, ive never done any of those, but you don't have any proof that driving on those would be harder, maybe it is, maybe it isnt, the only way we could know is if someone has actually driven while on all of those and while on alcohol and can tell us which one is easier to drive while under the influence.... they are all bad to drive on, obviously, but alcohol makes it much more difficult than many of you give it credit for

I haven't done heroine and I will never do heroine. I've seen people on it before and I can tell you from what I saw they wouldn't be driving very well. I've dropped acid once and I've done salvia a few times. I can tell you what, if you can drive on either of those then you must be super human. Have you ever seen the world melt in front of you? Acid will do that to you. You see colors and objects just start to melt and combine into each other. You cannot drive on acid. Salvia is another hallucinogen but on a completely different level then acid or even shrooms. Salvia you can't move period. You don't see things melt and combine but you actually go places on salvia. You will see some crazy stuff on salvia if you actually breakthrough.

Steelie, alcohol is a drug. Full-stop. Any definition you like, it fits. Now, it's not the worst drug out there.
Note the differentiation I made between alcohol and hard drugs. There is no comparison between alcohol and meth/coke/crack/heroin/etc etc. I never said alcohol was not a drug.
As a note, the US code doesn't list alcohol on any of it's drug schedules. Just sayin'.

US Code also didn't recognize communist Veitnam as a country, either.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize we were talking about VIETNAM and communism here. I thought we were talking about drugs and alcohol. Both of which I mentioned. Both of which were applicable to my comment.
Pssst...making a dumb comment and following it up with the rolleyes serves only to make you look ignorant.
