I'd always just switch the shoulder the tank is on.
Back when I shot a piranha e-force I tried shooting switch more than a few times and it does work if you can do it fast enough (and that's the key phrase), but I eventually warp'd the piranha and stopped
Have since been shooting my warp'd 'mag.
Another saying I love is "CHECK YOUR HOPPER" when it is said over and over, loudly, and while walking toward a newbie and pointing straight armed at them.
I don't know why, but I love being plagued by questions about the warp feed from people who don't know what it is.
It's all mechanics, they ask how it works, why it does what it does, why I wanted it, advantages, disadvantages, etc.
And you always catch the under the breath remarks like "that thing costs like $100, why spend that when you can just get a halo?" or "It looks like it'd really throw off the balance." or even "How can he switch hands?"
Then there is the obvious mockery of me leaning out of corners by others in the dead box that I catch as I walk by and then they pretend that they weren't doing it when I look at them
Then I usually say something like "If you lean out like that you'll be shot before you see who shot you."
It's like playing stock class, if you have to ask... they wouldn't understand anyway
