if the technology powering this is banned the most popular tourny gun of all time will also be banned (the autococker)....so i somehow doubt it. This gun is a sound electro design, barring something stupid and extream by the NPPL or PSP its gonna be legal....

The argument here is he doesn't like the speed of it.

Tournament paintball is about speed. This is why you really haven't seen mags in the tourney scene (yeah, there's the e and x mags, but they're not nearly as common as the standard mechanical mag). With this mod, you'll be giving people the ability to compete with those fast electros, and still have a completely mechanical marker.

That is an innovation, and if you want to talk about "the greater good" of the sport, then you're looking at it. Innovation and invention is the greater good of the sport.

Why overpay? I din't overpay for my Beta LX? I got my test plastic nubbins for free! If there had been a problem with my Beta LX, and I would have had to pay for a fix, I would have, as long as it didn't bring the $ up above the final products price.

Will you compare it to your 'fill in the blank' electro and tell us your battery powered gizmo is still better?

Sure...Mag Haters will. And there are some on this forum. But a REASONABLE person will not compare apples to oranges. Kinda like comparing the Humvee (Mech mags) to the H2 (hype electros)

When cheater boards are made legal the same way all the other cheats in paintball have evolved, will you dump this?

Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't think cheater boards will be made legal. I think the "one pull, one shot" standard will prevail. And no, I wouldn't dump this. It would be great on my soon to made TacOne :)

im loving it and i was going to buy a rtp all uled out but now i think ill just wait till this comes out

my concern is that with the prices being discussed it simply won't be able to compete with electros that yield the same rof for less
You have to remember joe schmoe the pballer looks at rof beyond all else just like idiots look at hp instead of torque in cars
my recomendation is to implement this in the rtp fully optioned out between 500-600 i know people are gonna flame me for being cheap but think about it for that price itll be 100-200 cheaper than the imps/bushies out there which will in turn net you some major sales imho

Id say around 200-250 for the drop in kit would be fair as people who already have mags are generally loyal consumers and would rather get the kit than sell their mags and buy an electro

but yea put me down for one

Yes...but isn't that to be expected with any new product that would have hype, regardless of if you want that hype?

Not sure how I feel about that. In the past Ive bought things when they first come out and paid a higher price. That doesn't bother me...I know prices drop. But I would be upset to have to pay more if it isn't released as a high quality product and has major issues that need fixing at additional cost to me later. Nearly every product is re-released with upgrades, tweaks and minor fixes, that is acceptable to me. A product that is released at high cost and then needs additional cost 'upgrades' or 'fixes' to function properly would not be acceptable.

Nah, dont have an electro, dont want an electro. Just want my mech to have a nice light pull similar to an electro but without potential battery and electronics issues.

I will buy this when it comes out, I would partially pre-pay without complaint to be one of the first to get it. Take a look at the two new frames for nice looking designs, rougefactor and the other one that I cant remember currently (my apologies because it is a great looking well built frame). People are strange, an incredible mod that is ugly probably wont sell as well as one that is appealing to look at.

How can u say 16 bps on a mech gun is not impressive, its a 2 oz. freaking trigger pull, it is incredibly impressive, and the fact that it keeps up with electros is great.



When have any ideas when theyll be released ? i wouldnt mind waiting, since i dont have very much money

yeah, efficiency is what I'm keeping an eye on too, any stats nicad on how many shots to a 68/3000 it gets compared to a normal mag?

One thing to note is that with this mod, you could
turn down the pressure needed to operate the marker
to say 650psi without worrying about chuffing and
rate of fire, which will directly correlate to more
shots per tank.

I say discontinue the Emag line and make this your flag ship gun and you can put out the advertisements slogan:

"Mechanical>Electric" and have a picture of an electric with flames and wires coming out of the grip frame. While having somebody holding a mag doing a thumbs up but has his hand wrapped from gauss.

Maybe have a side by side of a Mag and Spyder with a sear tripper frame under water with the caption: "Which do you think will work? Otters go with the Automag" and have a picture of an otter because otters are that cool.

Or do a old sschool campaign. Have a bunch of old tournament players before with mags, and then have a picture of new ones with mags with the hAir trigger with the subtitle: "Evolution at its best"

Maybe do a shot of a midget and then a close up of the trigger length with the slogan "Even they are considered giants now"
