What state do you live in CB? The State of Denial!

Whenever the vast majority agree with you, you are normally wrong. I forgot who said that.
Then you must be absolutely perfect!
When you parents example doesn't fit with country wide polls and popular opinion at the time, I have to question it. Sorry, but that is only true.
Where are you getting your facts? From your family? Maybe your family is wrong, eh?
Look at the facts. America was isolationist until Pearl Harbor. America was against the war until it came to us. After Pearl Harbor, America was solidly behind the war effort. Look at the surge in enlistments, not draftees, but volunteers that ran in RECORD numbers to enlist!
America was reluctant to go to war, but went full bore after 12/7/41! You had better post your proof. I have heard WWII stories from many of my relatives from the Greatest Generation. They rose to the challenge from a sense of duty, kind of like what you say the Soviet citizens did.
Also, remember what our country believes. Look at what our Presidents have said throughout the years:
"Millions for defense, but no a penny for tribute"
"Speak softly and carry a big stick"
Americans have not shyed away from a fight. In WWII, the majority did not want the war, but were 100% behind it when the time came. Look at the sale of Liberty Bonds. The US Gov't sold Billions in Liberty Bonds to the American people. If the people did not support the war, why did they buy them? Why did Rosie the riviter go to the shipyards? Why did Americans plant Victory Gardens?
You really are a fool!
