If you come to think of it,it is the perfect tourney gun.
it shoots "CRAZY FAST" ,"TOURNEY LEAGAL",and if it rains you won't have to run for cover so your gun does'nt fry up on you.bwahahhaha

Nicad I must thank you for createing such a wonderfull
mod .It's stuff like this that makes owning a mag a one of a kind and keeps us loyal to AGD .

Mr.Tom K I do hope that all goes well and that Nicad has your full support on this project of his, together we will take paintball fields by storm with this mod .Remember when useing a mag was so popular?Well it still is and it will only get better from this point on.
give me an inch..and ill take a yard...paintball is not a hobbie it's a way of life

The revolutionary bit which nicad is getting 'protection' for is not the concept of using pneumatics to trip the sear - plenty of people have already done that (the electrician on here and Punisher of Punisher's customs spring to mind).

The revolutionary bit is the design of the pneumatic components being used - I believe it is the nicad-designed custom 3-way which enables the ridiculously short and light trigger pull and 'walkability'.

It is revolutionary - you just need to read more of the background threads in order to fully appreciate it.

Gadget is most likely right, nicad does mention that he had a different style of a 3-way valve that he was working on for this project. To get a trigger pull that short, he has to be doing something unique. I have heard of people using autococker 4-way valves to do basically the same thing nicad has done, but you can't achieve the kind of pull that nicad had with an autococker 4-way valve. Well maybe if you used some kind of lever setup.

Some kind of 4way and qev valve combo maybe? Just a guess.

If this comes out in the $250-300 price range and works with older retro valves i'll be getting one next year.

For now my Ecocker is just going to have to hold me over. *sigh*

Ok here is what's happening. I am going out of town for two weeks and will be living in a garage for the whole time. Fortunately the garage has a machine shop and I am bringing all my computers with me.

While I am there my intention is to fully design and prototype this product if at all possible. The biggest drawback currently is that there are 6 adjustments in Nicads version. I need to get it down to three for Joe average to be able to run with it. In its current version its highly functional but not highly produceable.

I would expect this product to be somewhere between 250 and 350 dollars depending on the number of adjustments etc. Things like the safety have to be redesigned because its hard to make a .010 trigger pull not move. In e-guns you just turn off the power. So there are a lot more considerations in producing this than you would think.

Here's an idea... How about documenting this momentous event (video or pics), kind of like one of those Reality TV shows?

(i.e. Monster Garage, Trading Places, While you were out, Q-Eye for the Straight Guy, etc...)

...or how about bringing along the AGD WEB CAM?

                        ...daily journals?

                        ...daily pic?

Anyway, I think it would be fun to follow for 2 weeks...

                        :)

Yeah! you know the "prototype lab" yu could record your progress and then narrate yourself while your woring on it and post it in the proto lab! Hahah! you could do that for all your projects and then .. wait idea! we could make a tlc/discovery show about paitnball, like american chopper but with paintguns! somebody alert the presses! IT WOULD BE BETTER THAN MONSTER GaRAGE! it would assure the complete dictatorship of tom kaye over the paintball world! "this friday watch at tom kay and his crew of miscreants take an x mag to the max!" bwahahah! and itr already works out, his face is made for posters! (http://www.automags.org/forums/showt...threadid=79712) ti would be a hit! i could be your sidekick! "stupidboy" and provide the comic relief!
your team would have to be
                            claire (of course)
                            nicad
                            coolhand
                            rouge
                            miscue
                            cphilip
                            and me (not really)
and bud orr could make cameos when you work on cockers! you could do custom fabrication and milling and anno on tv!! you would make tons of money! because so may people do what they see on tv, and they idolize jesse from monster garage/america chopper, not only would they all want to buy paintball guns, but they would all want to buy YOUR guns! in SP's face! bwahaha!
If I see one more "What happened to smart parts" thread, I will kill Adam Gardner. You have been warned.

I think Jack n Coke idea is cool...but how would that work...you really cant put on TV. Or maybe im wrong, but if its a downloadable thing it sounds like it would be HUGE. AWSOME idea though if it actually happends I'd like to see it.

Ok, so a question for Tom when he returns from his research. What would be a production length trigger pull(max vs min)? Is a saftey mandatory?
