While it may not use actual autococker parts, for low pressure pneumatic operation, and from previous discussions, we know it has

Some sort of lp regulator
Some sort of extremely short throw 2, 3, or 4 way valve
Some sort of pneumatic ram-type cylinder which trips the sear.

Most of the parts are not the same parts used in a cocker's pneumatics. They are versions of similar kinds/types of parts.

However, we have suspicion that an aftermarker "cocker" lpr is probably being used with this modification.

Ahhhh ok. When I read his post I took it literally as no ram/3-way of any kind. Of course how it would all work without any of that stuff was beyond me, but I'm not mechanically inclined enough to question :)

If you're worried about the safety, I personally
would have no problem buying one which needs a set
screw loctited in the right place...

Also, I'm more than willing to work with 6 adjustments.
Even nonobvious ones... I will admit it's un-maglike, but
look at the autococker for what people will put up with.

You realize all the new stuff coming out has me buying
automag parts in droves... I've built my third 'mag just
in this year alone! Once this is out, it's going to force
me to build a fourth!

Take your time designing it, I have cash in hand, but
if done properly, this will revolutionize the industry
perception of mechanicals.

Also, to address one of your concerns, I don't care if
someone else has a "special" board that lets them think
they fire in semi-auto at 30bps... I'd definitely feel
happier hitting 16+ consistent bps on a true semi than
25+bps on a WAS'd electro with a debounce of 1.

Maybe I missed it in the 17pgs of posts but will this work on a retro valve. I know it was said it worked on a standard x-valve with normal on/off, so I don't see why it wouldn't work on a retro.

I'm really hopping for this to be able to work on the retro valve. It feels like lately everyone is so hyped on its prettier aluminum brother, its like retro valve is getting left out. The retro valve is the ugly stepchild of agd.

Maybe its a little late, but I think people will wreck this like everything else. Nothing is ever good enough for these types of consumers, they want it milled and in colors, they want it cheap, etc. They want it to work perfect out of the box, etc, and heaven forbid if it requires any tunning oh no that would be terrible wouldn't it.

I think these kids that are asking to retro fit old frames with this are going to wreck it. AGD can waste their time with having people sending in their frames to be upgraded. Its called suck it up, either put out he cash for the whole thing or shut up. And if you really want it bad enough you will find a way to get the cash.

And to give a perspective on the weight of the pull
Imps/Was switches are 25g
Most other electro's are 80g, this is going to be VERY nice.

I would imagine it being like a trix with no spring set to a comicly short pull... Thats my guess based on pull weight and distance

Colin if you have anything to do with designing the cosmetics of the actual frame associated with this mod, personally, I'd like to see something compatable with Matrix Dye Sticky3's. Either that, or a spaceframe clone.

OK, cool. I asked for the high end estimate because it's a hell of a lot easier to save more money than I need and have some left over than not to save enough.

So, figure that this will cost roughly a grand for the whole thing?

My thoughts exactly. You would not need to buy the upgrade to the I-frame for obvious reasons, but add Deadywinds frame for $350 (or less hopefully) to the $419 for a total of only $769. Now that's cheap for a 20bps mechanical gun!
