    Dwell concerns

After putting my Xmag through hell since installing the Xmod, Im starting to notice some marks on the outside of the bolt. Possibly from contacting the sear on the way back,

Has anyone else noticed this too? Is it normal, or should I raise the dwell?

    What does everyone think?

I read on one of the other threads that RRfireblade created a chrono procedure in his software. Anyway to incorporate this into the XMOD software.

Right now I just chrono my marker in Manual and flip the switch and play in E mode. Is there not a way you can set the marker to simulate holding the trigger for the chrono procedure?

I have not noticed any wear on my Emag bolt and Ive put about 6000 balls through it so far. I did notice how finike the body screws can be. If you have the thumb screw or the trigger/body screw too tight it just wont cycle properly. Thumb tight is the key there.

That thumb tight thing is new to me... anyone else verify that?

The problem with doing that chrono mode is that you can burn out your solenoid really quick that way from what I've read on that solenoid I don't think it can really handle that kind of use.

I have found that sometimes with everything ULE'd, over torquing your screws can cause things like bolt stick. Of course, I found that out that hard way. Im guessing that the ULE parts can twist when those screws are overtightened.

Couple of things I noticed this weekend after another day of play. I was in hyper mode and found I could alternate between singe and pull/release shots by how I pulled the trigger. A lighter pull could result in a single shot, whereas a heavier pull would result in the pull/release shot. I'm not sure if it's just my setup, if it's in the software, or if it's even a problem at all, just wanted to post it. The other thing I noticed is my HES only recognizes one pole of a magnet. I put a fireblade in that I had to glue the magnet in place, and after installing it in my mag, it wouldn't register the pulls. So I pulled the trigger out, flipped the magnet, re-installed the trigger, and now it recognizes the pulls. Again, I don't know if this is a software issue, or if they all are like that. For all who are reading this, please note that if you are using a stock trigger or a tunablade you probably will not encounter this problem, because the stock magnet/screw is the pole the software recognizes. Other than those minor issues, another great day for the xmod.

Im not sure how the software works, but mine does the same in autoresponse. I know on some of the different boards that if you hold the trigger back for a sec or so, it wont fire when you relase it. Im not sure how Lorne has the Xmod set up so we will have to ifind out from him. It could have to do with how the HES works.

AS far as the trigger magnet, that is perfectly normal.

Got my programmer today, had a chance to shoot a little bit.

Mode: PSP/Millenium (Rather like that one)
                    ROF: 15
                    FIX: 20
                    Dwell: 14

I must say I've fallen in love with my Emag all over again. One problem I had was my warp was easily keeping up w/ the gun, but my revvy is holding me back. So I've since decided that I'm going to go back to vert and get a Halo thanks to this marvelous software.

                    Excellent work

                      Xmod

Just got the Xmod on my Emag today.

Two words : OH MY GOSH

It is so sick fast....WOW. Its like getting a new marker.
I now have an 06 Ego for sale guys. LOL

EDIT: Used the Emag today at Orbital. My opinion has now changed.
I should have given it 7 dancing banannas. The NXL mode is sick sick sick.

                        Unbelievable!!! (and apologies...)

                        Hi, Lorne, guys...

Remember when you told me that my mag was failing because I was using a preset tank with an output pressure that was too low? When I read that, I got a little angry and frustrated, you know? How could it happen if I had bought a new Max Flo Micro preset at 800 psi? I mean, this mag was designed to work with that pressure, right? Wrong...

This week I managed to buy another Max Flo, this time an 2005 Inline model. I installed it on Friday and went to a local field to do some more testing on my X-moded 1.7 e-Mag.

Men... I gotta tell you... The field's staff jumped when they heard me shooting... Imagine the thrill (well, most of you already know it :)). So, what do I have to tell you? It works. And it RIPS!!!

                        My settings now are:

                        Fire Mode: All
                        ROF: 15
ACE: Off (it's an e-Mag with Level 10)
                        FIX: 51
                        DWEL: 15
Air Pressure into the gun: 980 psi
                        FPS: 270

I shot some 300 balls without a single brake or problem. The Mag is shooting straight and continuously, without any problem. I also shot some 3000 times without balls.
I was selling my SFT Predatored Shocker to buy an Ego. From now, I'll let the Ego in the store and save some money. With my Mag (whick also sports a Tunablade trigger, a RPG body, a RPG Shadow Rail and a Deadlywing Whisper barrel) I won't need any other marker in a good time...

Thank you so much, Lorne, for doing this miracle and helping me fullfilling this dream. You're the men!!!

                        MAGS RULE!!!!

Hey, I noticed your FIX is very high. How come? Did you do the noid-polarity test thats in the manual?

I didn't do the noid testing. I've sent my Mag to Tunaman while I was in US for my sister's wedding in february for a complete review and I noticed he changed the wiring so I didn't care to test it. But it's working good since the mag is shooting as it should in Semi and Rels modes.
                            I think it's all right.

Regarding the FIX, I set it to the maximum value available and left it there. Again, as it's working, and I didn't try changing it. Is that a bad thing?

No, usually if you have it that high it would mean that there was a bounce problem, so I was just asking. :-)

Actually yes, it is a verry bad thing because it means that you have absolutely no shot buffer. By lowering the FIX you will be able to shoot much faster and should notice that your strings are much more consistent.
