It used to be, back in the WW2 era that the going mentality of this country during the war was "Let's Go Over There". They understood there was a job to do and they rolled up their sleeves and got to it. They sacrificed like no other generation since.

Now the attitude seems to be "Bring Them Home NOW" regardless of the job being done or not. And to ask them to give up something to support that effort is tantamount to asking them to say Clinton should have been thrown out of office or Bush is a decent guy. They wouldn't know what sacrifice was if they were hit over the head with it.

It's been a paradigm shift in attitude towards military use in this country, and it is not healthy.

It sends the troops the wrong message whether you say you support them openly or not.

But apparently the liberals that seem to be more than a little hostile to the military have now attempted to say "we support our troops, we don't support the war."

Horsehockey. What a lovely little euphamism the dope smokers have concocted here.

How can you say you support the troops when they are the ones doing the job you so openly hate?


Please, Mr and Ms Liberal, just go back to hating the troops. It'll be just like the 60's all over again and you'll really feel like this war on terror is just like Viet Nam again. Trust me, you'll feeeeeeel so much better.

My guess is either Syria or Iran or maybe both.

Anyone remember Gulf War One when the Iraqi airforce was hightailing it to Iran for safety?

I think there may be some link there as well.

We will find the WoMD. Saddam had 10 years to hide them in a huge country. It is going to take some time to find them. Remember Saddam likes to bury things: Tanks, Planes, People that piss him off ,..... We will find them, but have a huge sandbox to dig in!:)

At this point I kind of hope they went into Syria. Because if they did I'm betting the Syrians will take Kaddafi's cue and turn them over rather then face punishment. With Saddam in custody it is reasonable to expect him to rat them out. As I've been saying, if I were Syria I'd start making deal right about now.

I would. To get them in to Turkey, he would have to go through the Kurds. The people he gassed remember. They sure would not have allowed that.

And maybe Iran is now covering the Baathists' rears AND their own by saying "Hey, UN, we'll let you come and inspect us for WMD's". That way, when they're found, all of Saddam's stuff will be mixed in the all of Iran's, and Iran says "yeah, that's all of ours" and gets rid of it before they get pounded by Bush. They get away scott free, and so does saddam on the WMD's thing, which'll put egg on Bush's face, and also allow Iran to look good in the world's eyes. If I was Iran, that's just what I'd do.
