Maybe not, but the sentence makes a lot more sense with a "to" in it.

civil unions would give gays status as second class citizens, as the mass. supreme court has already found. it is discrimination to keep gays from marrying. period. there is no credible reason why they should be denied equal rights.

LOL! I have never lost an argument. It's simple fact. My little friend, I do not need to provide a reason to discriminate against a group of people. All I need to to do is ask you where is it written that everyone has the right to marry? If no such right exists, then no one can be denied the "right". If no rights are denied, then no discrimination exists.

Sure its a pretty common practice, amongst people who have no dealings with the true Mormon church. They like to say that they do, and so does your anti-mormon lit. that u so easliy dug up, but i can assure u that any person who is practicing polygamy is not a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

It clearly says they are associated with the church, and that they pratice a traditional, while no longer condoned, method of marriage.

Except most of society is AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE!! If that changes in the future, then the legislatures around the nation will legalize it. But for now, Gays are trying to short circuit our democracy. And for the record, gay marriage is not accepted by the majority of Americans. Which is why the gay commmunity is so stupid to force this issue now, before they have the support of the country. It was very dumb of them to run to the courts the way they did while public opinion was against them. There's no rush for gay marraige. Nobody is being killed or anything. If they were smart they would have understood to slowly and methodically build up a base of support and challenge the system a little at a time, not show up on the court steps one day and decalre that you're decided to invalidate thousands of years of tradition.

who has the right to say who can get married and who cant? i dont get it. its not like gay people can just say "im straight" and like the other sex again. THEY CANT HELP IT. how would you like it if the government banned all men from going to school. seriously, what would you do? except it because boys are having a bad influence on "the institution of schools" by making it harder for girls to learn? or try and make it legal for boys to go to school?

You're analogy is so wrong though. The correct analogy would be more like, what if boys were banned from home economics? Well, some boys would be upset, but everyone would still lead happy productve lives and would be basically unaffected by that rule.

Especially once you remember that civil unions will be acceptable.
