Also, I can see that others have experienced this problem. Hell, there's a good chance that I'll be experiencing it in a few days, as mine's on its way. Every other thread on this subject, though, has had a markedly different tone. Others with this problem seem to have displayed some semblence of patience while AGD works to get this ironed out.

Steve, I will make sure yours is 100% right before I ship it. I havent seen it yet but not to worry. Maybe its a good thing that its still at AGD...

According to this, a trade has already been negotiated:

A forum community dedicated to paintball gun owners and enthusiasts. Come join the discussion about optics, builds, gear, events, reviews, accessories, classifieds, and more!

But at least this thread has reassured me that, if I have any problems with the 3.2 upgrade, AGD should take care of me. Maybe its also focused a little more attention on the issue, which is always a good thing.

I don't have a 3.2 issue or an Xmag. However, over the past few days I have had an issue with some AGD products and the tech support available over the net and by phone.

Airgun.com is riddled with references to AO as being the place to go with tech issues. For example, this is from airgun.com:

"Automags.org is the OFFICIAL Automags Owners Group. The site is owned and operated by Airgun Designs, and provides a place where players can come together and interact. Aside from a fun place to hang out and shoot the breeze on our forum or chat room, it is also the only place where you can get your questions answered by AGD technicians."

Or this one - "For technical help visit http://www.AutoMags.org and post any questions or comments you might have in the forums. Your questions will be answered by Airgun Designs Master Techs and fellow Mag shooters." Not might be - WILL.

I tried the forums and got some advice, but nothing that helped. I then spent 30 minutes on hold over a long distance toll call to talk with someone and get an RMA. Turned out that the tech's advice was way off anything I heard on the forum, and I had to run to the post office to ship out a week old part.

Did anyone notice that AGD does not publish a functioning email address for tech issues? Your only recourse is to call and be put on interminable hold. From California, a 25 minute on-hold time during business hours is a bit much.

After reading this thread, I went back and tried to find way to contact AGD privately, and by that I mean Air Gun Designs, and still don't know how other than through a post on AO.

Pardon my rambling, but I think dirtybunny deserves a little slack. I am a big fan of AGD products, and I have been voting with my wallet. However, I honestly wish that Tippmann ran the complaint department. And I still don't know how to contribute constructive criticism without getting hammered by the faithful.

Aegis, I just perused the tech forum, and unless I missed something, I don't see many posts from official AGD techs. That IS troubling, if that is the primary method for contacting AGD tech support.

LPB, Redneck is DirtyBunny. According to that thread, he traded his X-mag for a 03 shocker.

OHHHHHHHH, ok. I didn't know Bunny was Redneck, but my dad kind of concluded that as we sat. And there is the threads by BlackVCG, which I find very helpful.

Interesting. That PBNation thread would seem to imply that DB had worked out a trade before starting this thread. If that's the case, what the hell was the point?

But it makes no sense to make a trade, and then come in here crying about a problem of a marker he already traded off. I undwerstand the marker has a problem, but to trade it, and THEN come in here complaining about it. Maybe he needs to do a little more growing up.

As for him getting the better end of the stick in that trade. We have had 7 '03 Shockers at the field. Out of them 6 have been shipped back for either repairs or refunds. They have some issues with them as well. So I dont think he got that good of a deal, seeing as how a new Shocker is only $850. But to each his own. I have seen more Shockers die in the past three weeks, then X-Mags.
